THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT:

The Dripping Springs Building Department purpose is to safeguard the public health, safety, and general welfare through structural strength, means of egress facilities, stability, sanitation, adequate light and ventilation, energy conservation, and safety to life and property from fire and other hazards attributed to the built environment.

PERMIT PROCESS:

To ensure an efficient timeline for your proposed project we encourage you to contact us before you submit for a building permit. This way we can confirm your permitting requirements based on your location, zoning, and scope of work. You may be referred to other staff members and departments to determine if your project will require additional approvals (i.e. Exterior Design, Landscape Design, Exterior Lighting).

CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION

The City of Dripping Springs requires all licensed tradesmen to register with the Building Department if performing work inside the City Limits or in subdivisions with executed Development Agreements. For more information on location of subdivisions in the ETJ that abide by the City’s building codes click HERE.
